Interfaced Technologies Training Bootcamp
With 8 events across 2 days, our Spring Taining Bootcamp is an opportunity to learn more about some of the most commonly used technologies in manufacturing and automation!
Day 1: Welding & Joining for Metals & Plastics
Lunch included free, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Resistance & Laser Welding
Wednesday May 6th, 2026
9:30 am - 10:30 am
This 1 hour course will cover the basics of resistance and laser welding and a brief overview of the equipment most commonly used to achieve the desired application dependent results.
Ultrasonic Welding
Wednesday May 6th, 2026
10:30 am - 11:15 am
Our Ultrasonic Welding Class is a 45 minute session designed for those new to Ultrasonics or those would like to learn more about it.
We cover theory and terminology of the Ultrasonic process and where, when, and why to use Ultrasonics. We will go over many real world examples of this technology for both Plastic welding and Metal Welding.
Plastic Welding & Staking
Wednesday May 6th, 2026
11:15 am - 12:00 pm
This 45 minute course covers all of the basics on common technologies for welding and staking plastic assemblies.
We will cover when to use each technology, what to look out for when designing parts, and share a few application examples.
Orbital and Radial Riveting
Wednesday May 6th, 2026
1:00 pm - 1:30 pm
This 30 minute course is an introduction to orbital and radial riveting technologies.
We will cover each technology, the key differences between the two, and when to use each type.
Pressing, Punching, & Joining
Wednesday May 6th, 2026
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
In this 1.5 hour session we will discuss pressing, punching, and joining Air/Oil and Servo presses.
We will cover the best time and place to use them, the difference between Air/Oil and Servo units, and how they work in general.
Day 2: Testing & Automation Processes
Lunch included free, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Leak Testing Fundamentals
Thursday May 7th, 2026
9:30 am - 11:00 am
Everything Leaks – The question is what is the acceptable level of leak for your product.
This training session will cover some of the fundamental techniques used for leaking testing in our world today.
This 1.5 hour course is designed for people who are new to leak testing. We will cover different techniques, where to apply them and why. We will bring in many real world examples to help explain this sometimes complicated topic.
Topics we will cover:
- Pressure Decay vs Differential Pressure Decay vs Mass Flow
- Testing with Air vs Testing with Helium
- When each Technology should be used
Demo Hour
Thursday May 7th, 2026
12:00pm to 1:00 pm
An hour of live demos and opportunities to try the technologies discussed.
Mechanical & Robotic Feeding Technologies
Thursday May 7th, 2026
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
This 1.5 hour course is an overview of both traditional mechanical feeding technologies and robotic and vision based feeding systems.
We will cover mechanical systems including vibratory bowl feeders, centrifugal bowl feeders, orienting and opposing conveyors, and complimentary systems. We will also cover robotic feeding systems including flexible conveyor and shaker table vision based feeding systems.
